Amper is one of the largest trade events for electrotechnics and electronics in Europe. The leading companies in the electrical sector take part in order to offer their product range to a broad audience – including products and solutions from the fields of electrical engineering, automation, facility technology, communications and wireless technology. As part of Amper the winners of the contest “Golden Amper” are awarded. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 20. March to 23. March 2018, about 590 exhibitors from 29 countries and 43300 visitors on the Amper in Brno. For the twenty-eighth time there is the Amper on 4 days from Tue., 17.05.2022 to Fri., 20.05.2022 in Brno.

At next year’s EU-Startups Summit, which will happen on May 12-13, we will showcase a selection of Europe’s hottest startups and come together to learn from some of the most successful European entrepreneurs of our time! Owing to the progressing coronavirus pandemic, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT has decided to cancel the International Laser Technology Congress AKL in 2020. The safety and health of our attendees, partners and employees has top priority for us. The next AKL will take place from May 4 to 6, 2022, thus maintaining its regular biennial rhythm. However, so that interested parties do not have to wait another two years for the live demonstrations in Europe’s largest laser system park, which are firmly anchored in the AKL, Fraunhofer ILT intends to open its doors as early as this autumn and in 2021 for various planned symposia in Aachen – provided that the general conditions allow it again.

The air power will continue to play a significant role in future joint operations; air dominance or protection of national airspace will be enduring; future changes are likely to be doctrinal. The main focal point of the Future Combat Air System is to make the current roles more effective in supporting joint operations or protection of the NATO airspace. The first block will focus on the area of the air power and its role in future joint operation as well as all aspects emerging from the FACS integration into national C4ISTAR system.
